A New Tradition
Thanksgiving is a time for traditions. Recipes passed down for generations, gathering family and friends together, and giving thanks for all of our blessings. Traditions are important, and we look forward to them year after year. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s nice to slow down and enjoy simple pleasures.
With families living further apart than ever, Thanksgiving has become a time to gather everyone together. We spend a lot of time preparing the meal and celebrating a bountiful harvest like our ancestors before us. Making the moment special is part of the fun and instills traditions for generations to come.
As times change, so do the ways we celebrate, but one thing remains the same, gratitude. Giving thanks allows us to recognize and appreciate what we have and who we share it with. The words “Thank You” are powerful, and yet, seldom do we take the time to sit down, craft a message, and send to share that simple sentiment.
A Word of Thanks
This Thanksgiving, there is room for one more tradition, the “Thank You” note. Research shows that people chronically underestimate the power of expressing gratitude and overestimate how awkward it will be, which may keep them from engaging in the simple but impactful practice of writing thank you notes. Beautiful thank you notes encapsulated in unique colored or textured envelopes are the perfect way to express gratitude with luxurious flair.
Today, make a new tradition of sending personal (and even professional) thank you notes. And now, there are no more excuses. Found tucked away in Neenah’s “A Year’s Worth of Giving” promotion, find two beautiful cards by two different formidable designers with which to express your thanks.
A Peak at the Thanksgiving Table
Frank Chimero has produced designs for iconic brands like Microsoft, Starbucks, Adobe, Facebook, and now Neenah. Chimero’s mantras include, “The simple things are worth doing well because they happen every day” and “Be grateful for every chance to do something right.” He would ultimately create a Thanksgiving card that is simple, yet elegant (done well), that also offers the chance to do something right (in sending a thank you).
Pictures of home juxtaposed with traditional representations of feasting set the tone for a warm, handwritten message inside. ROYAL SUNDANCE in Warm White is complementary to the fall theme. It allows the metallic silver foil stamped fork to pop and invite the recipient to touch the paper. Within the promotion are 24 envelopes to choose from in an array of beautiful autumn colors in tempting textures that are sure to delight the receiver. We suggest a ROYAL SUNDANCE envelope in Ivory with a Laser Laid finish.
Gratitude is the Sign of Noble Souls
Kati Forner strives for minimalist, thoughtful elegance for client solutions. Among her specialities she lists design for print collateral and in our latest collaboration it shows. Embodying thoughtful elegance, Forner’s “Many Thanks” card appears brushed in pastels and features subtle touches of Metallic Gold foil on ROYAL SUNDANCE Felt in Brilliant White. The effect is simply stunning leaving the recipient to stare and soak in the gratitude. When placed within an envelope from ENVIRONMENT in Concrete with the natural appearance of Raw finish, the tone is set for a warm, genuine thank you.
Enveloped in Gratitude
All 24 cards and envelopes in A Year’s Worth of Greetings feature papers from the refreshed and re-released ENVIRONMENT® and ROYAL SUNDANCE® Papers. These two established brands now work side by side within one portfolio: The Naturals. There’s nothing like receiving holiday apropos cards wrapped in a colored or textured envelope to make you feel appreciated.
Try mixing and matching cards and envelopes in different colors, textures, and weights to see where your ideas lead.
