Green Seal™
Green Seal is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding the environment and transforming the marketplace by promoting the manufacture, purchase and use of environmentally responsible products and services.
The Green Seal is a symbol of recognition to customers that papers are made with a minimum of 30% post consumer fiber and that mill processes, including packaging, are environmentally preferable.
All recycled Neenah papers are Green Seal certified.
Recycling Symbol
The recycled symbol—also known as the chasing-arrows logo or the mobius loop—is visible on many consumer products, including paper. Used alone, the recycling symbol communicates that a paper product or package is both recyclable and made entirely from recycled material. As few products or packages can make both claims, use of the symbol alone is limited. Products made with less than 100% recycled fiber will be accompanied by a legend identifying the total percent (by weight) of recycled fiber.
All recycled papers from Neenah contain a minimum of 30% post consumer recycled fiber. Papers made with 100% post consumer recycled fiber are available in a number of our brands.
Processed Chlorine Free
Our 100% post consumer recycled papers are manufactured from sustainable raw materials and are processed using chlorine-free practices.
Neenah offers a variety of Processed Chlorine Free papers made with 100% post consumer recycled fiber.
Alternative Fiber Choices
Alternative Fiber Papers are made with a combination of alternative fiber such as bagasse and bamboo, and 50% post consumer recycled fiber. These papers require fewer chemicals and less energy to manufacture.
Environmental Calculator Symbols
The Neenah Eco-Calculator allows users to instantly calculate the environmental savings achieved by using paper made with post consumer fiber as well as the savings from using paper made with 100 percent renewable energy.
Symbols for wood, water, energy and waste can be used in creating customized savings reports for annual reports and other print projects.
