The school year is wrapping up, and Leta Sobierajski is here to help you celebrate one of life’s first monumental accomplishments. Be it high school, undergrad or graduate school, it’s done, and you did it!
Share in the celebration with the “You Did It” card Sobierajski designed to commemorate the event, and to be part of the 24-card collection in A Year’s Worth of Greetings: the keepsake promotion celebrating every designer’s natural go-to paper lines, ENVIRONMENT® and ROYAL SUNDANCE® Papers.
Sobierajski says, “Sometimes saying the word ‘congratulations’ doesn’t sound as genuine as you’d hope. Saying something like ‘you did it’ gives a sense of primal achievement. It’s a monumental accomplishment. Groundbreaking, if you will.” Sobierajski took the term “groundbreaking” literally for her inspiration – referencing the cracks you’d find in broken pavement.
Specifying ROYAL SUNDANCE® Bright White, Laid for the card, Sobierajski says the paper stock helps enhance the tactility of her design’s inspiration, “and quite frankly, feels nice to the touch.”
Be Kind. Could there be a better message to share with the world? For her second card in the collection, Sobierajski wanted to share a message that we should all consider every day.
“It’s important to take a step back and think about how we can care for and think about those around us,” says Sobierajski. The way a smile can be contagious, handing this card to a friend helps spread the message.
Sobierajski’s design has the message appearing as if it’s at the bottom of a pool, subtly hinting at the idea of a greater good. She used ENVIRONMENT® Weathered, Smooth to give the card a warm, slightly worn and weathered effect--this is not a new message, but one lying under the surface waiting to be shared.
