Pure cotton Crane papers are made from cotton linters—a byproduct of the cotton industry that is recognized by the EPA as recovered fiber. Not only are these fibers environmentally responsible, they make a paper of superior quality. In addition, the repeatedly reusable cotton in CRANE’S LETTRA® Papers can be recycled with traditional paper.

New Paper for Old Processes
Initially produced for the letterpress revolution, 100% cotton CRANE’S LETTRA® Papers have the feel of fabric and the look of hand made art paper. And while it is engineered to stand up to the great pressures of letterpress printing, CRANE’S LETTRA® Papers perform equally well with offset lithography; engraving; stamping; and inkless processes such as embossing, debossing, or die-cutting.
Tough…
CRANE’S LETTRA® Papers have the complex structure and strength of cotton papers, allowing them to withstand multiple press operations and achieving superb registration under the most pressure processes.
…Yet Fluffy
CRANE’S LETTRA® Papers are unsized and uncalendered. This leaves the fibers relatively uncompacted, giving the sheet an extra bulky, even fluffy feeling that absorbs ink while remaining soft to the touch.
The Mark of Tradition
Crane & Co. is now in its seventh generation, with roots going back to before the American Revolution.
Paul Revere, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and the Queen Mum are among the millions—from the eminent to the ordinary, from heads of state to heads of households, from European monarchs to Hollywood royalty—who have relied on the fine 100% cotton Crane Papers to help shape their piece of history.
